THOMAS R. KNEPP, ESQ., SENIOR ATTORNEY

Tom Knepp is one of the founders of Nittany Settlement Company and has been a leading real estate attorney in Centre County for over the past two decades; closing thousands of residential and commercial real estate transactions. In addition to working within NSC, Tom also manages his own private practice focusing on real estate law and transactional matters within the Centre County and State College region; a place he has spent his entire professional life practicing real estate law within.
SCOTT A. HUBER, ESQ.,
(B. A. Eastern Illinois University, 1993; J.D. Southern Illinois University, 1996)
Scott joined Nittany Settlement Company in 2009. He is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and was previously licensed in the states of Illinois and Maryland. He has over 20 years real estate experience, working in virtually every aspect of the field; including abstracting, title review, file preparation, and closing.
Initially, Scott started his legal career as a general practitioner but quickly gravitated towards real estate law wherein he developed a strong foundation in abstracting, document review and preparation, and conducting closings; skills he continues to call upon today as he works with buyers of real estate across the Center Region of Pennsylvania.
In addition to his work with Nittany Settlement, Scott also maintains a private practice assisting individuals with real estate law, contract review, estate planning, and the drafting of legal documents such as deeds, wills, and other estate documents.
LINDSAY C. COVALT, ESQ.,

Lindsay Covalt attended Gannon University and graduated with honors in 2006, achieving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with dual minors in Human Resources and Finance. After working for four years as an administrative coordinator and business consultant, Attorney Covalt attended Syracuse University College of Law. In 2013 she obtained her Juris Doctorate graduating cum laude. While attending Syracuse University, Attorney Covalt interned with the United States Attorney’s Office as well as the New York Attorney General’s Office and was an active member of the Moot Court Honor Society and National Trial Team.
After her admission to the Pennsylvania Bar in November 2013, Attorney Covalt relocated to the central region in order to serve her community as a criminal prosecutor handling serious felony and misdemeanor cases. After four years of zealous advocacy for victims of crime, Attorney Covalt returned to her business roots and joined Nittany Settlement’s dynamic team. Attorney Covalt’s unique background enables her to bring a charismatic, client-centered approach to the practice of real estate law. Additionally, her attention to detail and keen ability to analyze the intricate aspects of complex transactions affords Nittany Settlement clients the peace of mind they deserve!
In addition to Lindsay’s work with Nittany Settlement, she also manages her own firm, Covalt Law, wherein she provides her clients with an array of services, including: real estate law, estate planning services and probate, small business law and succession planning, and litigation.

ASHLEY DEITZ, SETTLEMENT MANAGER
Ashley Deitz is the Office Manager and Lead Settlement Assistant at Nittany Settlement Company. She is a graduate of South Hills School of Business and Technology where she received an Associate’s Degree in the Legal Secretary program. Ashley has over 20 years experience in real estate settlement services and works closely with Realtors, Brokers and Lenders in both residential and commercial transactions. She epitomizes integrity, hard work and attention to detail on every transaction she works on.
Being a life-long resident of Centre County also gives her an advantage of knowing the area market. In Ashley’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, pugs & silkie chickens!
JACKIE HUGHEY, POST-CLOSER
Jackie joined Nittany Settlement in the summer of 2019. She is a 2006 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, obtaining dual majors in Health Policy Administration and Criminal Justice. After many years of working in managerial positions throughout our Centre County Community, Jackie desired to utilize her talents and honed financial skills as our Post Closer. At NSC, Jackie is responsible for coordinating the funding efforts associated with each real estate transaction Nittany Settlement manages and conducts on the behalf of our clients; this includes working closely with lending organizations to ensure appropriate funding documents are obtained, executed and returned to lenders in order to complete the distribution of funds associated with each transaction.
In her spare time, Jackie enjoys spending time with her husband, exercising and exploring her artistic talents by creating original pieces and crafts.
